Tiny Home Resorts originally opened as Tiny Home Vacations in 2020. The owner, Tyson Mathews, became intrigued with tiny homes when his Aunt Vicki and Uncle Ralph built one for their property in Idaho. With the get-away seekers of Dallas Metro in mind, he sought to build a retreat on Lake Texoma that offered peace-seekers a quiet evening around a campfire.
After a successful beginning, the unexpected death of Tyson caused the Resort to shut down in January of 2023. In March of 2024, Tiny Home Resorts was established and the property began reopening under new ownership and management.
Many updates have been made to provide our guests with a more accommodating stay, including the new Hilltop Mercantile, guest laundry, pickleball court, human foosball, horseshoes, tent platforms, RV pads, Forest Pavilion, Community Huts, and Event Room.
